Hi there! What a weekend we just had. I work for a small company so usually we do not get 'extra' days off around holidays, but this year my boss gave us Friday off too. Having four consecutive days off? Nothing better! We decided to spend the weekend in Austin visiting my brother, Ben, and his best friend/roommate/family friend Matt. Ben leaves next month for Switzerland! He will be there for a year getting his masters in hotel management, so it was really fun to come visit him in Austin before we no longer have the option to do so!

They live in downtown Austin surrounded by plenty of places to eat, visit and things to do. We had a blast walking everywhere, bringing Ray's dog Lola to most places and really just enjoying all the things that make Austin so unique. We had morning iced coffees at Jo's, hot yoga at Wanderlust, breakfast at Walton's, paddle boarding and kayaking on Lady Bird Lake with Sup ATX, floating the river at Don's Fish Camp in San Marcos, and much much more.

If you haven't visited Austin during the summertime, I highly suggest giving it a try! It is so different, and so much better, than what I remember from my visits in high school. But then again, visiting the Austin convention center for club volleyball tournaments doesn't really count as a vacation!
