Happy Weekend! I am looking forward to a weekend at home and finishing up the house! We took the first step in doing that by going to Ikea on Wednesday night... I was totally dreading it but man they have a ton of stuff! Ended up getting way more than I expected. I also have to share that over the past week I have come across some really cool and inspirational stories. They are not design/lifestyle related at all, but I couldn't help but be inspired, amazed, and grateful all at the same time.

• Carry On: In 2009, ESPN did a story on best friends living in an Ohio suburb who were both members of the high school wrestling team. They had overcome extremely unfortunate circumstances to make the team, including hard upbringings and physical disabilities. The ESPN producer who spent 6 months following their story stayed more than in touch with them, she became part of their family. What happened next (Olympics & college) was almost just a dream. • Wasabi the Kitten: Possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen. Woman saves kitten attacked by a crow, they have to feed it through a tube, so the grandmother makes it cute outfits. Read the story here. Glad she survived!
