FUN ROAD AHEAD

I'm back from my mini, un-announced hiatus! Wow, needed that. If only we could pull a similar move in real life or work life. Especially in work life since we've been incredibly busy all summer! Plenty of install dates coming up- 2 installs next week to be exact and my biggest project to date in September! I'll have some fun before/after pictures to share. I'm also focusing on a project installing later this year in a super fun location. We've been handling construction details for so long now, that I am thrilled to be pulling fabrics and furniture selections, finally. Take a sneak peek below of some color schemes we've pulled with tile. Let's just say the vibe of this house is California Cool...

Girl's/Guest Room: Has a small adjoining bath so we're using this fun chicklet calacatta tile on the bath and shower floor. I call it "chicklet" tile because it reminds me of the tiny gum! Then the Walker Zanger Arabesque tile on the shower walls. I love the color combo which we are carrying into the room. Still trying to nail down the details, but I would love to do a wood framed upholstered headboard with that shark tooth fabric (bottom left) as the fabric, Euros in the ikat fabric and the rest of the bed in crisp clean whites, maybe with blue accents. Drapery in the Kerry Joyce blue linen, side chair in the bottom right fabric and some fun pillows in the rest? So many options!

Game Room: Scheme pulled for the only room with a TV in the house. Purples and mauves to make the room nice and cozy. Light purple drapery with tape trim, solid sectional in the Manuel Canovas fabric, pillows in the stripe and ikat, ottoman in the leather and side chair in the fab Clarenchouse houndstooth.

Guest with 2 Queen Beds: The connecting bath has the fun penny tiles on the floor- all white with a band of blue lining the perimeter and solid white field tile above the tub. Haven't really figured out where the fabrics will go exactly, but I am in love with that woven suzani! Thinking it would look great as Euros or a side chair.

Office: Texturessss galore. This is the one room that has extensive carpentry and built-ins, so I think the muted color in different patterns and textures makes it cozy and interesting. Bath tile sliced pebbles on the shower floor and even some 2x4 calacatta tiles. Really looks great with the room.

And there we are! A small glimpse of the "fun" things I do at work. The "glamour" part if you will. Lots of hard work behind it though! Happy hump day!
